Mother to Legacy.
Toriana, age 26, is a serial entrepreneur, a business owner and a community leader who acts as a liaison for a few nonprofits and businesses by bringing different organizations together to serve youth and families in need.
What would you say the hardest part of motherhood is for you?
It would be the mental aspects of it. Feeling inadequate, feeling overwhelmed and over stimulated at times. Always wondering if I’m parenting the right way or if I’ll be able to protect my child from traumas and experiences that I can’t control.
I’ve learned to take things one day at a time and lead with love. I try to do my best and lean on my village and support system to ensure that he is surrounded with love, nurture and protection. I pray, let go of my troubles and worries, and just take each moment for what it is.
